"The Third Space" features artwork by sixteen ACAD sculpture majors. As a community we have noticed the similarities and differences in our work that develop naturally within the shared studio context. Collectively exhibited, our work forms a narrative for this experience and demonstrates our varied approaches to contemporary sculpture practice. What does it mean to be a part of a whole? This is the question we address as sculpture majors within the larger whole that is ACAD and as practicing artists as we branch out into the field of contemporary art. "The Third Space" examines the possibilities of what connects us and distinguishes us as artists.
