Through a multi-disciplinary practice that involves drawing, photography, sculpture, and new media, Kyle Beal presents Jokes Chokes and Gags, an exhibition of new work that considers the physical and theoretical spaces of performance, behaviour, and humour.
Kyle Beal is a Calgary based visual artist who graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design in 2001 and who holds a Masters degree in Visual Art from the University of Victoria (2004). His work has been featured in exhibitions across Canada and most recently in the four person exhibition I Laughed, I Cried, I Split My Side, curated by Dagmara Genda and presented at AKA Artist-Run in Saskatoon, SK. Kyle Beal is represented by the Douglas Udell Gallery.
