Don Edstrom - Facilities Coordinator
facilities@UAScalgary.org Don Edstrom is a semi-retired, Calgary resident who enjoyed a career in Alberta’s petroleum industry. After his long career ended Edstrom developed an avid interest in paleontology, and subsequently acquired work with a Calgary fossil company restoring and preparing woolly mammoth tusks for museum display. This directly led to the development of a skill set and a practice in carving fine crafted ivory pieces from the materials at hand, honing his skills in order to eventually enter the business market. Edstrom's primary profession is the creation of heirloom jewellery and wild life bas-reliefs from Woolly Mammoth tusk, and maintains a successful, commission-based practice.
