Untitled Art Society operates a two-person, black & white darkroom to independent artists and photographers for artistic production.

The Darkroom is located on the 4th floor of 319 10th Ave, SW

• 2 Omega Pro Lab 4 x 5 black and white enlargers
• Lenses for film formats from 35mm to 4x5 inches
• One 21x26x12 inch stainless steel rinse sink
• One approximately 6x2 foot 6 inch x 7 inch deep fiberglass developing sink
• Communal trays, tongs and developing tanks as well as a table top paper cutter
• Advance on-line booking system
• Individual chemistry and paper storage
*Please note: chemistry and paper are not provided.

Rental Rates

Darkroom rentals must be purchased at the UAS office, please visit the UAS Satellite Gallery office (343 - 11th Avenue SW, Calgary) in order to receive keys to the darkroom facility.
Monthly Rentals:
• Cost $100 per month
• Security deposit required
• 24/7 access provided
• Fee is based on 12 hrs per week during peak hours (10am to 10pm every day), additional hours can be booked during non-peak hours
Annual Rentals:
• Cost $300 per year
• Security deposit required
• 24/7 access provided
• Fee is based on 12 hrs per week during peak hours (10am to 10pm every day), additional hours can be booked during non-peak hours
Daily Rentals:
• Cost $30 per day
• Security deposit required
• Fee is based on 24 hour access
• Available only to members of UAS and Quick Draw Animation Society
Rentals for organizations:
UAS is happy to rent our darkroom to non-profit and corporate organizations. Organizations may rent the darkroom by the hour, for more information please contact info@uascalgary.org.

Darkroom Donations

UAS receives a high volume of offers for darkroom equipment donations. While we are in need of certain darkroom supplies, and appreciate the generosity of these donations, we cannot accommodate every and all donations. If you have darkroom equipment or supplies that you would like to donate to UAS please contact our darkroom committee at darkroom@uascalgary.org.
