Education
UAS is dedicated to the growth and development of artistic careers in Calgary. With the reopening of the UAS black and white photography darkroom the need for training programs in analogue and alternative processes became clear.
Over several years UAS has developed an ongoing schedule of contemporary art workshops in darkroom processes, as well as professional development workshops and lectures for emerging artists eager to learn important skills to further their professional careers. Many of these workshops are taught by our resident artists, and artists that UAS has collaborated with or exhibited in recent years, providing yet another avenue for the general public and local artists to come together, learn, build skills, and have fun.
