Exhibitions

UAS offers two different streams of exhibitions programming, peer-juried and non-juried. Artistic groups and organizations are also welcomed to make proposals to the board for cross-programming in the screening room and White Dwarf Gallery as community-based programming.

UAS Satellite Gallery and UAS +15 Gallery are used for peer-juried exhibitions featuring emerging and pre-emering artists in a professional context. Each space offers a modest artist fee. More information on the individual spaces and floor plans are available on each gallery's page. If you are interested in submitting for Main Space or +15 programming, please view the submissions page.

Barewalls programming occurs in in the short span between Satellite Main Space exhibitions. Barewalls offers artists the opportunity to utilize a professional gallery space for non-juried exhibitions and artistic events. Barewalls is only available to members of UAS. UAS offers a small printing and hospitality budget to assist artists in promoting and holding successful receptions. Barewalls books six months to a year in advance, please take that into consideration when putting your proposal together

White Dwarf Gallery is located adjacent to UAS Satellite Gallery. This space can be utilized by collectives, groups or organizations for cross-programming. At this time, UAS does not have designated funds for cross-programming. If you are interested in submitting a proposal on behalf of your organization or collective, please contact Sally Raab at info@uascalgary.org to discuss your ideas and explore grant or other funding options.

Members of UAS, collectives, groups and organizations are welcomed to take advantage of the screening room at UAS for film screenings or performances. If you are interested in utilizing this space, please contact Sally Raab at info@uascalgary.org
