A Contemporary Art and Education Facility
UAS is a not-for-profit, artist-run studio cooperative of Calgary artists. It was founded in 1993, and incorporated in 1994 by graduating students of the Alberta College of Art & Design. UAS's membership represents the full spectrum of the visual arts, from students through to emerging and established artists. UAS maintains two exhibition spaces which pay modest artist fees, a black and white darkroom, and 16 artist studios in downtown Calgary.
