What does love look like? No, seriously, what does it look like? That’s what artist Marbella Anne Carlos wanted to know. So she set up a video camera on a bed and asked brave volunteers to stare longingly into the lens as they laid their head on a pillow. She wanted to capture the way people look at a new lover. The results, featured in Looks Like Love, are sure to be interesting, if not uncomfortable. In I Let Him Touch Me, she wrote the names of all the boys she’s ever kissed on her body in henna. Do lovers leave a mark? In this case, yes, they do.
